This will also help ensure that the bouquet you put together won’t look strangely out of place, since it will naturally be the right time of year for the flowers you buy.

4.) You Deserve Them

Flowers don’t need a reason to be special and neither do you. The people who love you will love to celebrate you and all the goodness you’ve brought into their lives. You deserve to be treated to something nice, even if you buy it for yourself. That doesn’t make your bouquet any less special. Sometimes the only person who really knows what you deserve is you.

5.) Celebrate Your Accomplishments

Besides being presented on a date, bouquets are often given after major accomplishments, like a graduation. You don’t need to break barriers or crush records to throw a celebration for yourself. Little accomplishments like getting to work on time or meeting all your deadlines should be recognized like any other accomplishment, so buy yourself a bouquet and celebrate! Whether you’re recognizing that you washed your hair today or finished a marathon, don’t mark any accomplish down for size.

6.) Someday is Today

The Skinny Confidential

The old saying is that life is short. People say it so much that it’s easy to let it slide in one ear and out the other without ever pausing to consider what it really means. You never know what the future holds, so why wait for the little pleasures that flowers bring? You don’t need someone to give them to you. Get in the habit of breaking those unspoken rules and you might be surprised to find how many others do the same and treat themselves to things like the occasional bouquet.

It’s romantic to imagine someone bringing you a bouquet of flowers as a surprise just to remind you that you’re loved, but showing love to yourself is just as important. Don’t deny yourself from having beauty in your life that will make everything look and smell better around you. Indulge in a bouquet or two, because you’re worth it and you deserve to be treated to a little happiness.
