We could all use a little dose of romance to inspire us, yes? Today’s styled shoot has the perfect blend of beauty and rustic styling. Rothweiler Event Design wanted to create a romantic rustic chic look at a brand-new venue that overlooked Duchess County, New York. With incredible views and beautiful lighting, it felt like a fairytale location.
“While I’ve never been drawn to pastels, it never crossed my mind to use anything other than Pantone’s 2016 colors of the year, rose quartz and serenity blue,” said the designer. “The blue was a must as the venue itself had an infinity pool and you could see the large rivers below. The combination of those colors along with embellished vintage crystal on the gowns and some of our vintage rental pieces, all made the day look beautiful.”Alicia King Photography captured the beautiful photos:
“Our white vintage dresser was a major piece to the shoot and we incorporated it by adding lush florals that our florist designed as if they were growing from the drawers,” said the designer. “It was also really important to show that a ‘rustic’ wedding can still be upscale, and we worked with our stationery designer to create an elegant paper suite including menus placed on our vintage china. The idea was to create this dreamlike state and I really think we accomplished that. This location provided the best area for that magical “golden hour” sunset as well and you really felt like you were in heaven. There was a true happy and blissful feeling we were looking to create and the combination of the natural outdoor magic and all of the design put together made for a gallery of one amazing photo after the next!” We’ll second that 🙂
