Okay ladies, now let’s get in formation! We’ve got an amazing styled shoot by IDA ROSE EVENTS to share with you today! This bold, modern and artistically inclined editorial shoot was inspired by refreshing citrus, independent spirit and Sasha Fierce herself. From Laura Held, Founder + CEO of Ida Rose Events:
Washington D.C.’s Fathom Gallery presented us with a blank canvas in which to make Lemonade. With bright pops of yellow, acrylic accents and sleek lines, this design truly embraced the modern sophistication of the venue. Our vision for this theme was to fully embrace the beauty of contrast and the bravery of expressing who you are and how you feel.
The venue’s rooftop terrace transformed into a romantic ceremony scene, with the afternoon light illuminating the wild greenery and bursting, sunny florals by Sweet Root Village that framed the striking bridal couple. Engraved Acrylic vows by Lighthouse Lazer were embellished with Beyoncé lyrics, and captured the beautiful honesty that we all strive to embrace. Manicured hedges, brick walls, and pops of white and chrome made the terrace the ideal setting for an edgy and sweet union.
It wouldn’t be an art gallery without an art installation. Petite yellow fruits were carefully hung by Sweet Root Village to create a unique and lemony fresh backdrop. The bridal couple embraced the sweet, yet sexy vibe that people who are fiercely in love portray. Our bride carried herself like a queen who cherishes her king, but does not need him to breathe. Adorned in a white BHLDN bridal jumpsuit, and dripping with fancy yellow and white diamond Liljenquist & Beckstead pieces, this bride is the epitome of a #girboss. Cropped, slicked back hair and luminous makeup, complete with a yellow strip of eyeliner, showed off the natural beauty of our stunning bride. Our charismatic Groom, styled by Knot The Guy, wore a sleek and modern design by The Black Tux, a custom lemon bowtie, and a Platinum wedding band.
You can embrace simplicity while still being bold and Bobby Bandz Productions expertly captured this concept throughout the entire Lemonade experience. The intimate reception took place within the cool confines of Fathom Gallery. Black and charcoal linens, matte black and white dishware, sleek glassware and ribbed silverware decorated the two tables placed in front of painted white brick. Acrylic display boxes encased mossy greens and vibrant yellow booms. Ghost Chairs accentuated the fierce look, and allowed for the lemony floral centerpieces, to shine. Linear elements and contrasting designs were captured in the details, such as the rectangular matte black cake by Fluffy Thoughts Cakes, adorned with canary ranunculus sugar flowers and the custom designed invitation suite. Heirloom Catering & Event Styling whipped up refreshing and vibrant light bites, styled to perfection. The lemon border created for the invitation suite popped up as a pattern for one of the delicious cookie designs by Two Sugars Studio, and on the cocktail napkins placed on the exquisitely styledLemonade stand bar, which was custom made by The Blue Haystack.
